Hi
My name is Steve...and I'm the owner/chief developer of this website - www.FlashSoftware.org. My aim is to develop this site into one of the leading comprehensive online websites dedicated to the Flash phenomenon, with sections planned to cover everything you'll ever need to know, and how to get the info or products you'll need whatever your requirement.
And why am I doing this?
I'll tell you the story.
I'd been playing at developing websites for a few years since around 2004 - with no technical skills, and using a WYSIWYG website builder. Had some success, but basically it was all learning and building up to where I could put together an authoritative site on a subject which excited me, and which I knew would appeal to many other site builders.
I had a problem. Had no idea how to create videos for a website, and needed to learn. Online video was growing massively and i could see a great future for those who could learn how to use it effectively, both from a marketing perpective for advertising...and simply as a great way to build social networks.
So while searching for the solution, I stumbled on a site which showed me an easy way to make flash movies. No technical skills required. It was perfect for me...and a flash beginner was born. I couldn't believe how simple it was to use the flash movie maker I'd found and get great results.
That was the start. The more I looked, the more i realised that there were some amazing tools out there for developing flash effects that would spice up my pages, and potentially thousands of other sites too.
So here we are. I'm in the early stages of FlashSoftware's development. You're reading one of the first pages. Please check back regularly for new developments.
For now, FlashSoftware.org will act as an information channel. You'll find links to valuable flash websites...either sites developed in flash, or describing and linking to useful products and flash tools.
In future, we're aiming to look into bringing our own products to market. I'm looking forward to an exciting time with this.
